About Us

Wolds Way Golf Course was opened back in 2012 and was managed by father and daughter Vic and Bev Woodall. It was designed and run to make golf welcoming and stress free to all. No need to prebook, no dress code and great value for money. Open everyday as long as daylight allows!

This has grown into a great course which appeals to many, from total beginners to experienced golfers, young and old.

The course was sold in 2025 and now run by mother/son Joanne and James who have lived on site since 2004. Husband/Father Paul owns and runs Trotters farm shop and often steps in to help on the course when needed.

The fundamental running of the course has not changed, predominantly based on honesty and trust between the management and players. Players are asked to fill in the envelopes and pay by cash/bank transfer via an honesty box meaning costs can remain as low as possible. Donated clubs, bags and trolleys are available to borrow and return free of charge. A comments book allows communication between players and management where polite constructive feedback is always welcomed. You can also use the form below.

Since Joanne and James have taken over the course, investment has been made for many developments which include:

• A built in irrigation system
• Seating available on every tee
• Extensions of tees
• New litter bins
• Astro turf mats now available on practice net, tee 5, and soon tee 4.
• New tee markers
• New fertilizing regime in place
